Freemasonry & The New Mass

Masonry and the Church

"Since 1738 eight Popes have issued 17 condemnations of the Freemasons, reiterating the ban on 400 occasions." These statistics are from the Masons themselves. The fact that Freemasonry is a secret society is enough to make membership illegal for Catholics. (That this ban has supposedly been lifted of late, we soon shall offer the obvious reason.) Masonic principles also fly in the face of the First Commandment: I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me.

And that their main thrust is against the Catholic Church we see from the following:

1.      Masonry is the Novus Ordo Seclorum (as we see on our American dollar bill with its all-seeing Masonic eye) - the "New Order of the Ages." It also engineered the "Novus Ordo" - known, too, as The New Mass (the Novus Ordo Missae or New Order of the Mass. Indeed!)

2.      Much of their intent against the Church was explained by the Italian Masonic society called the Alta Vendita, in its 1819 "Permanent Instruction" to its members: "Our final end is that of Voltaire (the nefarious freethinker) and the French Revolution, the annihilation of Catholicity, and even the Christian idea, forever.... The work which we have undertaken is not the work of a day, nor of a month, nor of a year ...it may last many years, a century perhaps, but in our ranks the soldier dies and the fight continues. Let the clergy march under your banners," it goes on, "in the belief always that they march under the banner of the Apostolic Keys (the Papacy)." In other words, besides infiltrating the Church as was pointed out earlier, those of this secret society must also lead unwary Catholic religious to doing Masonic bidding through brainwashing, and/or threatening them into the idea that the new, revolutionary, Masonic dictums coming from the Vatican are really still Catholic!

3.      With the "watering down" of much of Christianity during our own age, so that the various "faiths" now move almost comfortably within each other, we see the coming to light of the Masonic cry "Liberty, Fraternity, Equality!" Freemasonry's aim is to be the One World Religion. Yes it is involved with political intrigue, but as the "Permanent Instruction" so aptly put it: "The conspiracy against the Roman See ought not to be confounded with other projects. Let us conspire only against Rome."

Has this happened?

We must say yes indeed, for behold: The New Mass. The Novus Ordo is the greatest triumph of the Masonic effort at Vatican II - the Council which Freemasonry has always plotted for and looked forward to, as the means by which to put into effect so many of its satanic designs against God and His Holy Church. The liturgical revolution concerning Holy Mass was spearheaded by Archbishop Annibale Bugnini - who was later found to have been a Freemason.

Novus Ordo worship service was written in the 1960s by a Freemason (Archbishop Annibale Bugnini ) and six Protestant ministers. In 1970 a photograph was published showing Paul VI posing with the Protestant ministers that had worked with Anibale Bugnini, head of the Consilium ad Exsequendam Constitutionem de Sacra Liturgia [Council to Carry out the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy], to draft the Novus Ordo worship service.

Not only were these six individuals heretics personally, but they were there acting in their official capacity as such. The six were Dr. George, Canon Jasper, Dr. Shepherd, Dr. Kunneth, Dr. Smith, and Brother Max Thurian, representing respectively the World Council of Churches, the Anglican and Lutheran communions, and the French Protestant Taize community.

After the Consilium had met and finished its work of suppressing the Traditional Latin Mass and replacing it with the New Order worship service, Dr. Smith, the Lutheran representative, publicly boasted, "We have finished the work that Martin Luther began."

Brother Thurian had been the subprior at Taize from its foundation in the late 1940s. In 1969 he expressed his satisfaction with the Novus Ordo Missae by stating that Protestants could now celebrate the "Lord's Supper" with the same prayers as Catholics. On May 12, 1988, the French daily Le Monde announced that Max Thurian had not only become a Catholic, but had been ordained to the Catholic priesthood by Cardinal Ursi of Naples, without being received into the Church, without the Profession of Faith, etc., a known scandal in Rome at the time.

On July 24, 1996, Fr. Thurian, now a member of the International Theological Commission, published in L'Osservatore Romano an article highly critical of the Novus Ordo, including the statement that "the great problem of contemporary liturgical life (apathy towards worship, boredom, lack of vitality and participation) stems from the fact that the celebration has sometimes lost its character as mystery, which fosters the spirit of adoration."

Anibale Bugnini, the architect of the Novus Ordo, was Secretary of the Consilium (1964-1970). Bugnini stated publicly that his aim in designing the "New Mass" was "to create a worship service that any Hindu, Buddhist, or Protestant could attend and feel perfectly at home with."

Fr. Malachi B. Martin worked inside the Vatican near Bugnini and publicly stated that Bugnini was definitely a Mason. The same fact was announced by Tito Casini, Italy's  leading Catholic writer, who made public in April 1976 that "the reform (of the liturgy) has been conducted by this Bugnini who has been unmasked at last; he is indeed what we have long suspected a Freemason"- Pope Johns Council, Pg. 165, by M. Davies

Rome's Grand Mason wrote a public letter praising Bugnini's work. At a meeting on June 19, 1975, Cardinal Seper and eighteen other cardinals called for Bugnini's dismissal, which occurred on July 9, 1975, on the grounds that he had been responsible for the proliferation of messes sauvages [wild masses], that is, of unauthorized Eucharistic Prayers. By 1971, only one year after the Novus Ordo became mandatory, there were two hundred of these published and in use.

Because of the scandal Bugnini was banished from Rome by Paul VI in January 1976 to be pro-Nuncio in Iran, where in 1980 he betrayed American hostage secrets to the Iranian ayatollahs. Bugnini died at the age of 70 in 1982.

What the Freemason Bugnini and the six Protestants wrote is the Novus Ordo that is still in force in the post conciliar Church. Paul VI made no change in it, except a small change in the introduction, when Alfredo Cardinal Ottaviani pointed to the heretical nature of the new definition of the Mass.

Indeed, many Cardinals, Archbishops, etc., both in the Vatican itself and elsewhere, are known to be so. (There is said to have been a bishop in Minnesota who wore his Masonic ring publicly.) A sensation was caused when a list of Masonic Italian Cardinals was published in the 1970's.

Is it not true? With the suppression of our beloved, all-holy, Tridentine Latin Mass, we can easily see the rise of evil in the world, and the confusion in our own Catholic lives. Surely it's the evil fruit of the Devil!

What's to be done?

For one thing, be sure your thinking on the following matters is orthodox:

1.        The recent idea that Catholics may now join the Masons - providing it is not a branch or lodge which is actively anti-Catholic - is a revolutionary one out of Vatican II, which as we have seen, was itself engineered by the Masons. Surely the Masons have not changed their intentions one bit! And even here, as in all other "ecumenical" interests, please note that the movement is always of Catholicism towards Masonry (or Protestantism, etc.) -never the other way around. It is the Church which must first compromise...

2.        The "good works" we see of the Masons or Shriners such as their hospitals, are meant also as a cover or a distraction from the true, insidious intents of international Freemasonry. After all, who would think ill or be suspicious of a smiling, kindly face, Seemingly bent only on distributing candy?

Let us consider these words of Cardinal Sarto, Patriarch of Venice, which he addressed to a group called the League Against Freemasonry. Concerning the Masons he said: "I myself once thought that what people said about them was exaggerated. But today, since I, by virtue of my office, have had the opportunity to see the wounds they have opened, I know that nothing I have heard was in the least overdrawn. I praise all of you who fight against this cult, for such service is highly meritorious. You are serving your family, your fatherland, and humanity."

We now know Cardinal Sarto better as Pope St. Pius X. He saw clearly the activities of the Masons during his lifetime, and throughout his Pontificate labored unceasingly to brace and prepare the Church against their onslaught - especially as it has come in the form of the heresy of Modernism. Pope St. Pius' election is a revelation in itself, because Pope Leo XIII's Secretary of State, Cardinal Rampolla, was expected to succeed Leo. However, using an obscure Imperial privilege not exercised in 400 years, Emperor Franz Josef of Austria-Hungary had the Cardinal Primate of Poland submit a veto in his name during the Conclave itself, thus obstructing Rampolla's election. The votes began to go to Cardinal Sarto instead, who subsequently was elected as Pius X. Though not publicly understood at the time, this astounding gesture of the Emperor, and that he was privy to confidential information, later became clear: For upon the providentially unexpected death of Rampolla, secret Freemasonic papers and documents were found among the Cardinal's personal effects! They revealed beyond a doubt that he had been a Mason attached to a particularly occult sect called the OTO for several years, even while Secretary of State to Leo XIII. Imagine the damage he did with his appointments and suggestions for promotion - bringing other Masons and sympathizers up the ladder and into position of influence and authority, as is their subversive method. Pope St. Pius' own Secretary of State, Cardinal Merry del Val, later reflected that they had had no idea of Rampolla's activities while he lived as he had fooled everyone, but that the evidence they had found was undeniable and self-incriminating. "Unhappy man," was Pius' comment - and he ordered the materials burned.

The courage and loyalty of the sort we have seen above in Franz Josef, who was not afraid to act on behalf of the Church as he was bound to do, must have been lacking many times and in many places later, in order for Freemasonry to have nevertheless advanced upon the Church. For our part, let us resolve to ourselves put to use our Confirmation graces, and be once more soldiers of Jesus Christ.

Concerning the Holy Mass

In 1570 Pope St. Pius V promulgated the Apostolic Constitution Quo Primum, to which the Holy Latin Mass, once possessed by all our Western Rite Catholic churches, was made the Mass for all time in that Roman Rite. This Quo Primum is the law governing the Mass, and in it Pope St. Pius said that should anyone presume not to obey it, or if any individual one of its directives be disregarded, the person committing such an act would "incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul."

And thus did we have our Holy Mass - until the time of Vatican II whence the wheels of treachery began turn in earnest, and that which Pope St. Pius said must never be done dared indeed to happen: In 1969 Pope Paul VI issued his Apostolic Constitution Missale Romanum, which brought into illegal existence the sacrilege commonly known as the "New Mass." No one, not even a Pope, has the right to be "un-Catholic" and sin in the matter of touching our Mass in such a way. It must have been an insidious influence in the Church indeed, which had such unspeakable deed even thought about - nevermind brought about - in the first place. There are six requisites for the imposition of a Church law - and Pope Paul met none of them!

Again, no one - not even a Pope - has any right to disobey the Church's law regarding the Latin Mass (also called the "Tridentine Mass" because of its association with the Council of Trent in the 16th century). Therefore, the Apostolic Constitution of Pope Paul VI is null and void. And the following also must be said of the New "Mass":

It is new, illegal, not Catholic (which anyone having "Catholic" eyes to see cannot help but have realized) - and according to the Council of Trent is no Mass at all. The Quo Primum of Pius V is still, and always will be, in effect. The "New Religion" for which the Masons strive is their own One World Religion with the worship of man. And the Novus Ordo or New "Mass" - with its complete profanation of the True Mass once offered to Almighty God, humanistic English jargon, presidential chair(s), etc. - is the sacrilegious personification of it all! The "Renew" program now also flooding our churches, is meant among other things to de-sensitize the last vestiges of Catholicism from the parishes, or "People of God" (a Masonic term of the Revolution). No more hell, no more purgatory, do whatever you want - conscience is all! The idea of parish councils running things is also revolutionary to the Catholic Church, for to us the Holy Ghost enlightens and rules from above through the Pope on down - not vice-versa.

Communion in the hand, "extraordinary eucharistic ministers" - you name the rest! - all are products of the Masonic influence in the Church which has grown to such frightening proportions now. And not the least of these considerations, is the most grave possibility that there is no Real Presence of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Novus Ordo's "blessed sacrament!" This is due primarily to the falsification of the words of Consecration in the New Mass. (Of this we are just as glad, for it would be far better that He did not directly take the abuse and sacrilege of this "second Passion", which the New Religion of Vatican II heaps upon Him via its un-holy "Mass". But just imagine - no Eucharistic Lord or True Mass by which to offer proper homage to the Most August Trinity, and by which to sanctify and save ourselves! What is the purpose of the Mass? Let Catholics remember their catechism. There is nothing like the Mass - nor is there any substitute for It. And what can replace Christ Our Lord, the God-Man - our Redeemer and Savior - present upon every Catholic altar, continuing even yet His work of Redemption by incessantly pleading with His Eternal Father to spare His people redeemed with His Blood? What can replace the Blessed Jesus, our Beloved Friend and Spouse of our souls, being there in the Tabernacle whenever we may need Him to go visit in church, laying before Him all our troubles and problems? Who else can soothe as He ... who else can offer solution? And if it is nor He Who comes at the time when Holy Viaticum is needed before death, then to what purpose is it? For Christ alone can bridge the gap between earth and Eternity. The Roman Catholic Church is His - and we will not rest until again He fully reigns!

In the person of Pope St. Pius X, the Catholic clergy was made sure in its education about the Conspiracy, and made to promise allegiance to Church orthodoxy and tradition, renouncing any new inroads against this precious treasure. In the Oath Against Modernism, priests swore to uphold Catholic teaching against the "new trends of thinking" in matters of faith, which would be coming at them from subversive sources both within and without the Church.

In the Profession of the Catholic Faith taken by all priests at ordination, and also at other pertinent times throughout their vocation (that is of course, until the advent of Vatican II when it was soon conveniently dropped) - a reaffirmation is made of belief in the Nicene Creed; also, the traditions of the Apostles, the Church, and Her observances and regulations, in accordance with the sense in which She has always held them. The priest also professes that there are seven true and proper Sacraments of the New Law, each instituted by Jesus Christ Our Lord for the salvation of the human race - and then does he go on to affirm Catholic belief in the applications of these Sacraments, the doctrine of Transubstantiation, Purgatory, veneration of relics and images, power of indulgences, supremacy of the Roman Catholic Church as Mother and teacher of all churches, also swearing allegiance to the Pope as Vicar of Christ and successor of St. Peter. The priest ends this Profession of the Catholic Faith as follows:

"Moreover, I maintain and profess, without doubting, all the other teachings handed down, defined, and declared in the Sacred Canons by the Ecumenical Councils, especially by the Most Holy Council of Trent and by the (First) Ecumenical Vatican Council, particularly that of the Primacy and the Infallible Magisterium of the Roman Pontiff; and at the same time I condemn, reject, and anathematize all opinions to the contrary and all heresies whatever which the Church condemns, rejects, and anathematizes.

"I, N..., promise, vow, and swear that, with God's help, I shall most constantly hold and profess this true Catholic faith, outside of which no one can be saved and which I now freely profess and truly hold. With the help of God, I shall profess it whole and unblemished to my dying breath; and, to the best of my ability, I shall see to it that my subjects and those entrusted to me by virtue of my office hold it, teach it, and preach it. So help me God and His holy Gospels."

A most serious obligation, is it not? Those priests who made this Profession and are now participating in the New Religion: 1). have most piteously fallen away and apostatized from the Catholic Faith to which they once swore allegiance; 2). or were lying as they made this Profession. Since Vatican II the "Rite of Ordination" has been changed in such a way as to alter substantially the "form and matter" which constitutes the Sacrament of Holy Orders. In other words, men "ordained" in this new rite may not be priests at all! If this is the case, then so much for the newer ones out of the seminary. We Catholics must insist upon the full restoration of our true and holy Apostolic Faith. We must do what work is necessary, enduring all that may come our way. We must pray Almighty God for guidance and strength, join with others, and support our loyal priests.
